Overview
Matter Chronologies provide a continuously updated timeline of events gathered during LitiSync’s investigation of a case. Each event is summarized and connected to related evidence and involved individuals, allowing you to quickly understand how the matter developed over time.
Before You Begin
- A matter must be active and undergoing investigation.
- LitiSync must have begun gathering event, evidence, or participant information.
Step-by-Step Instructions
1. Open the Matter Chronology
Use the sidebar navigation to select Chronology within the matter workspace.
2. Review the Timeline
The primary timeline displays each event summary in chronological order. For each event, you will see:
- The date the event occured
- Who provided the event summary (important if you have multiple clients on the same matter all engaging with LitiSync)
- Associated evidence lists, organized by evidence type
- Related character lists, showing individuals involved in the event
- Scroll on desktop or swipe on mobile to view the complete timeline of the matter.
3. Using Character Isolation Filters
At the top of the chronology view, use the Character Filter to display only the events involving a specific person.
You may select multiple characters to view all events where those individuals were involved.
4. View Timeline Summary Building Block
As LitiSync gathers additional facts, a Timeline Summary Building Block is automatically generated and updated, providing a copy / paste, condensed overview of the chronology based on the latest information collected.
What Happens Next
As agents continue investigating the matter, new events, evidence, and participant details are added to the chronology automatically, ensuring the timeline remains current and complete.
